A VIEW OF LOVE FROM HEAVEN #2
BLOG #64 - 7/15/2020

“Love is patient, love is kind.” (1 Corinthians 13:4, NIV).

1 Corinthians is a letter the Apostle Paul sent to the church in Corinth because division existed within the church. The subject of his letter is about the love of God. God’s love is different from normal human conduct.

Love is patient. That is, it is long-suffering. If we are patient with others, there are at least five things that will be true: (1) we will be slow to anger, (2) we will be merciful, (3) we will be forgiving, (4) we will be willing to listen, and (5) we will not give up on people.

Love is continually kind. If we are kind, our lives will be characterized by: (1) doing what is
beneficial for the other person, (2) responding with good, even if the other person does not
deserve it, and (3) not holding the sins of another person against him.

We cannot have the God-like love that is patient and kind if His love does not dwell within us. It
is God-given!
