A TEST
OF FAITH #7
BLOG

God said to Abram (Abraham): “Leave your
country, your people and your father’s household and go to a land I will show
you. I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your
name great, and you will be a blessing” (Genesis 12:1-2, NIV).
It was a command God gave Abram to leave
his country and go to an unknown land. Abram’s faith in God was emphasized when
he left his country, his people, and his father’s household. Abram had to have enough faith in God to put
his past behind him.
JESUS HAS COMMANDED US TO DO CERTAIN THINGS
He commands us to "go and make disciples of all nations...(Matthew 28:19, NIV). We are to share the GOOD NEWS about what the Lord has done in our lives. Jesus says, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven"
(Matthew 5:16, NIV).
Is Jesus calling us to go to a place unknown? Is He calling us to do something that takes us out of our comfort zone? Are we willing to put the past behind us and go forward to do what Jesus wants us to do?
Amen,am willing.
