Preocupación Y Su Cura

¿Tienes la tendencia a preocuparte, especialmente sobre detalles insignificantes? ¿Alguna vez te has preocupado por algo tanto que no podías dormir por la noche?
Jesús dice, "...no te preocupes por mañana..."" (Mateo 6:34, NVI). En el diccionario «preocupación» significa «ansiedad.». La ansiedad que Jesús nos prohibe tener es una preocupación ansiosa. Es el tipo de preocupación que quita la alegría en nuestras vidas.
¿Realmente hay una cura? La respuesta es sí. Parte de la cura se da en Mateo 6:33. Jesús nos dice que busquemos primero su reino y su justicia. De lo contrario, hacen de la voluntad de Dios la prioridad de nuestra vida.
Algo pasó dentro de mí hace muchos años que me convirtió en el hombre que soy hoy. Creo que fue el resultado de una relación de vida personal diaria que tuve con el Señor. Fue una experiencia en la que sentí que estaba de pie en la presencia directa del Señor. Una calidez y calma entró en mi alma. Miedos que solía dejar de existir. Alabado sea Dios porque sigo viviendo esa experiencia.

An Understanding of the Trinity

1. The Father is God. Paul says, "...for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things
came and for whom we live..." (1 Corinthians 8:6, NIV).
2. The Son of God. We see the fundamental nature of God in Jesus. John called Him the Word and he
was with God in the beginning ...without him nothing was made...(John 1:1-3, NIV). The "...Lord
of lords, who alone is immortal..." (1 Timothy 6: 15-16, NIV). Jesus claims equality with the
Father. He said, "I and the Father are one" (John 10:30, NIV).
3. The Holy Spirit is God. Isaiah referred to "...his Holy Spirit..." and "the Spirit of the Lord...
(Isaiah 63:10 & 14, NIV). Peter said to Ananias "...you have lied to the Holy Spirit...You have not
lied just to human beings but to God" (Acts 5:3-4, NIV).
"The eternal triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes (characteristics), but without division of nature, essence (something that exists) or being."

¿Has oído la historia del hombre que compró un pedazo de tierra para hacer crecer un naranjo? Se soprendió cuando descubrió que los naranjos que plantaba producían naranjas de sabor amargo. Descubrió que el suelo sólo podía soportar naranjos de sabor amargo. ¿Qué iba a hacer? Encontró una manera de lograr lo que quería. Cuando las poblaciones de los naranjos de sabor amargo crecieron a un cierto tamaño, injertó el stock de la degustación de dulces naranjos. Poco a poco, podó las ramas que producían naranjas de sabor amargo. Con el tiempo, los árboles tomaron las características de los árboles que producían naranjas de sabor dulce.
Por un momento, imaginemos que nuestras vidas son como las ramas de un árbol. Cuando aceptamos a Jesús como nuestro Señor y Salvador, injertó Su vida en nosotros. Cuando Jesucristo nos perdona pecados, poda las ramas que pertenecieron a nuestra antigua forma de vida. A medida que crecemos espiritualmente en Cristo, poda más de las ramas que pertenecieron a nuestra antigua forma de vida. El resultado es poco a poco nos volvemos más semejantes a El.
Jesus dice: «Yo soy la vid; ustedes son las ramas. Si permaneces en mí y yo en ti, darás mucho fruto; aparte de mí no puedes hacer nada"(Juan 15:5, NVI).

THE MORAL TEST OF LOVE - PART TWO

What does the word "moral" mean? It means to be capable of making the distinction between right and wrong. In 1 John 4:7 the NIV version of the Bible says, "Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God." That is, let us love one another in the moral sense, for the love of God is tender, loving, and charitable. Everyone who is born or delivered of God knows Him. He has knowledge and a real understanding of who God is.
The Pharisees asked Jesus, what is the greatest commandment in the Law? Jesus replied: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul and with all your mind" (Matthew 22:37, NIV). That is, to love God supremely, more than you do anybody else or any other thing. Submit your intellect to His will. Then Jesus said the second greatest commandment is: "To love your neighbor as yourself" (Matthew 22:39, NIV).
It's a tall order for me to love my neighbor as myself. I know that I can't do it on my own. However, the source of love comes from God. It's only through Him that I can love my neighbor as myself. Jesus love me more than Himself. I know it because He died on the Cross for my sins. He arose from the grave so I can be forgiven of my sins and inherit eternal life. My friends, what He has done for me He can also do for you.

Dice Jesús, «Yo soy el camino, y la verdad, y la vida; nadie viene al Padre sino por mí.»

En nuestro viaje de Jackson, Tennessee a Indianola, Iowa mi esposa y yo decidimos tomar un atajo a través del bootheel de Missouri. ¿Qué ha pasado? Terminamos conduciendo dentro y fuera de dos condados varias veces. Temíamos que estuviéramos perdidos. No sabíamos hacia dónde ir.
En múltiples ocasiones, Jesús dijo a Sus discípulos a dónde iba. Simón Pedro no entendía lo que el Señor quería decir. Le preguntó a Jesús, «¿Señor, a quién iremos? Tú tienes palabras de vida eterna». (Juan 6:68, LBLA) Jesús es el líder en la carretera que conduce a Dios. Sólo por medio de El, tenemos acceso al Padre Celestial.
Jesús es la verdad. Es la encarnación de la verdad. Es la fuente de la verdad. El apóstol Pablo dice: «Pues tantas como sean las promesas de Dios, en El todos son sí...(2 Corintios 1:20, LBLA) Es decir, podemos estar seguros de que Sus palabras son verdaderas.
Jesús es la vida. Le dijo a Marta: «Yo soy la resurrección y la vida...(Juan 11:25, LBLA) En referencia a Jesús, el apóstol Juan dice:«En él estaba la vida, y esa vida era la Luz de los hombres (Juan 1:4, LBLA)». Es una vida que nos da que hace viva la alegría de la vida eterna.

Many years ago, there was a popular song whose lyrics were, "all the world needs now is love, sweet love..." Doesn't the message sound good? However, what kind of love does the world really need? In today's world, the reality is the word "love" has many different meanings.
When I had premarital counseling sessions, I always asked the couple what percentage of give and take will be required for them to have a successful marriage? Almost every time they said 50-50. Typically, I responded, "if you make that a practice in your marriage, your marriage is in danger of failing." It doesn't make sense mathematically, but each of you need to work toward giving all of yourself to your mate.
A couple who had been married then divorced were considering getting remarried. They shared with me why their first marriage didn't last. It soon became obvious to me what the problem was. They loved themselves more than they loved each other.
Next week's blog will be about what the Bible has to say about love.

LOS SIETE YO SOY #5

«Yo soy la resurrección y la vida; el que cree en mí, aunque muera, vivirá...todo el que vive y cree en mí no morirá jamás». (Juan 11:25-26, La Biblia de las Américas).
Jesús dice, «El que vive y cree en Mí, nunca muere». ¿Tiene sentido para ti? William Barclay dice: «No es cierto que un hombre que cree en Jesús nunca morirá. El hombre que cree en Jesús enfrenta y experimenta la muerte física de la misma manera que cualquier otro hombre».
Sin embargo, la Biblia nos dice que hay tres etapas y dos transiciónes de la vida. Las tres etapas
de la vida son la vida en el vientre, la vida en la tierra y la vida más allá de la tumba. Las dos transiciónes de la vida son el nacimiento y la muerte. Puede parecer imposible, pero Jesús comunica que «la muerte física no es el final del camino".
Dios nos creó con dos naturalezas. Tenemos una naturaleza física y una naturaleza espiritual. Cuando confesemos nuestros pecados a Dios, invítenlo por medio de Su Espíritu Santo a venir a nuestras vidas, y aceptarlo como nuestro Señor y Salvador nos da la vida eterna. Es una vida eterna de naturaleza espiritual. ¿Has hecho ese compromiso? ¡Les aseguro que vale la pena el compromiso!

WORRY AND ITS CURE

Do you have the tendency to worry, especially over insignificant details? Have you ever worried about something so much that you couldn't sleep at night?
Jesus says, "...do not worry about tomorrow..." (Matthew 6:34, NIV). In the dictionary "worry" means "anxiety." The anxiety Jesus forbids us from having is an "anxious worry." It's the kind of worry which takes away the joy in our lives.
Is there really a cure" The answer is yes. Part of the cure is given in Matthew 6:33. Jesus tells us to seek first his kingdom and his righteousness. Otherwise, make God's will the priority of our lives.
Something happened within me many years ago which changed me into the man I am today. I believe it was the result of a daily personal living relationship I had with the Lord. It was an experience in which I felt like I was standing in the direct presence of the Lord. A warmness and calmness came into my soul. Fears I used to have ceased to exist. Praise God because I am still living-out that experience.
