LOS BÁSICOS DE LA ORACIÓN #3

BLOG #71      La Oración de la Rededicación      9/25/2020     

 

Tenía sólo ocho años cuando me convertí en cristiano. Sucedió en 1952, en una pequeña iglesia del pueblo ubicada en Brimson, Missouri. Fue una de las experiencias más grandes de mi vida. Estaba tan emocionado por mi nueva fe que me sentí obligado a hacer algo especial por el Señor.

 

Por mí mismo, hice una encuesta en una división de vivienda llamada Recinto Ferial. Llamé a las puertas de treinta y cinco casas. Descubrí que había un total de cien quince personas que vivían en esa división de vivienda. Veintinueve de los residentes profesaron ser cristianos. Volví a casa. Le di a mi padre mi informe. Entonces le pedí que le diera el papel a nuestro pastor.

 

A la iglesia de Laodicea el Señor dijo: “… no eres ni frío ni caliente. ¡Ojalá fueras lo uno o lo otro!  Por tanto, como no eres ni frío ni caliente, sino tibio, estoy por vomitarle de mi boca”. (Revelation 3:15-16, NIV).

 

Mis queridos amigos cristianos, ¿han perdido su entusiasmo por vivir por el Señor? Si sois tibios en tu deseo de vivir por el Señor, necesitas rededicar tu vida al Señor. David oró: “Crea en mí, oh Dios, un corazón limpio, y renueva la firmeza de mi espíritu” (Salmos 51:10, NVI). Merrill F. Unger dice que son "los pasos sucesivos de un creyente pecador que es restaurado a la comunión y el servicio completos a Dios".

BLOG #74      I Thessalonians 5:16-18      9/25/2020

 

Rejoice evermore.

            Everyday we should have joyful hearts. When we serve the Lord, we ought to have

            cheerful attitudes (see Philippians 2:17).  

 

Pray without ceasing.

            We can continue in a spirit of prayer. We can lift-up our thoughts to the Lord when we

            are at work, at home, or wherever we might be. When we lift-up our thoughts to the

            Lord, we become more aware of God’s presence.  

 

In everything give thanks.

            In 1 Thessalonians 5:18 the word, thanks comes from the word that means to be

            grateful or to express gratitude. Barring tragedy or misfortune, we are to give thanks in

            all circumstances whether they be good or bad. If you cannot be thankful, it might help

            if you look upon the past mercies God has given you. The Bible says to give thanks is the

            will of God.  

 

I believe if you continue in a spirit of prayer you will find the secret of continual joy!

 

LOS BASICOS DE LA ORACIÓN #2

                                    BLOG #70         La Petición de Ezequías         9/18/2020

 

El profeta Isaías le dijo al rey Ezequías, «… Pon tu casa en orden, porque vas a morir; no te recuperarás.» (2 Reyes 20:1, NVI) Ezequías era un joven que tenía una enfermedad que era terminal. En hebreo pensaba que una muerte temprana era la recompensa de los inicuos y que una larga vida era la recompensa para los justos (véase Proverbios 10:27).

 

Ezequías oró fervientemente al Señor. «Recuerda, Señor, que yo me he conducido delante de ti con lealtad y con un corazón íntegro, y que he hecho lo que te agrada.» Y Ezequías lloró amargamente. (II Reyes 20:3, NVI). El Señor oyó la oración de Ezequías. La palabra del Señor vino a Isaías, “«Regresa y dile a Ezequías… Voy a sanarte quince años más de vida.» (II Reyes 20:5-6, NVI). Se concedió la petición o solicitud de Ezequías.

 

La oración es una poderosa fuerza activa. Eso es especialmente cierto si las personas que oran tienen una relación correcta con el Señor.

 

La vida es un don de Dios (véase Génesis 2:7 y Romanos 6:23). En esta tierra no hay promesa de vida mañana. En cualquier momento la eternidad puede invadir el tiempo. Un hombre sabio dijo una vez: "Sólo tienes la promesa del presente." ¡La vida aquí en la tierra es realmente una preparación para la eternidad!

BLOG #73         IN JESUS’ NAME         9/18/2020

 

Jesus said, “When you pray say: Father, hallowed (holy) be your name, your kingdom come. Give us

each day our daily bread. Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us” 

(Luke 11:2-4, NIV).  

 

We cannot expect God to honor our prayers if:

            1.Our prayers are self-centered.

            2. We are not seeking Him

            3. We are not forgiving those who sin against us.

 

We can expect God to honor our prayers if:

            1. We love God and seek Him (see Proverbs 8:17).

            2. We have a right relationship with Him.

            2. We are willing to submit to His plan and purpose.

 

In Gethsemane, the Scriptures say, “… he (Jesus) fell with his face on the ground and prayed, My

Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will” 

(Matthew 26:39, NIV). In Jesus’ name means “Thy (God’s) will be done. It requires faith to do that. 

The question is, do we have the faith to allow God’s will be done?

 

 

LOS BASICOS DE PRAYER #1

BLOG #69       La oración del Señor      9/12/2020  

 

Los discípulos del Señor sabían del amor del Señor por oración. En un día dado, uno de Sus discípulos le preguntó: "... Señor, enséñanos a orar..." (Lucas 11:1, NVI). Saber orar y por qué orar necesitamos un maestro. El único que puede enseñarnos es Jesús.

 

Les dijo a Sus discípulos: "Cuando oren, digan: "Padre, santificado sea tu nombre...'' (Lucas 11:2, NVI.) "Padre", en la lengua aramística, es "Abba (Marcos 14:36)". Hace hincapié en la relación cálida e íntima entre el creyente y Dios" (Comentario de Baker). Santificado es santificarse. Tu nombre debe ser profundamente respetado.

 

"Venga tu reino" se refiere a la segunda venida de Cristo. También se refiere a Su voluntad, que se hace en la tierra como en el cielo.

 

"Perdónanos nuestros pecados, porque también perdonamos a todos los que nos ofenden" (Lucas 11:4, NVI). Incluso si perdonamos a los demás, eso no significa que merezcamos ser perdonados. Llevad a "no nos metas en tentación" (Lucas 11:4, NVI). Dice que la palabra "tentación" más probablemente se refiere a "una situación que uno está expuesto a la seducción del pecado" (La Biblia del Intérprete).

BLOG #72        PRAYER OF REPENTANCE         9/12/2020

 

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not but have eternal life” (John 3:16, NIV)                                                                     

               

Jesus said, “…no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again (John 3:3, NIV). The kingdom of God is the reign of God. The reign of God which will reign supreme. Jesus said, “…no one can enter the kingdom unless he is born of water and the Spirit (3:5). Born of water is to be made clean (see Psalm 51:10). Born of the Spirit is to be spiritually reborn.   

 

In John 3:16 the word believe means to commit unto Him. It implies trusting our spiritual well-being to God.

 

Why do we need to repent? We who never have committed our lives to Christ, we need to be spiritually reborn. For we who are professing Christians, we need to repent if we are not living a life that pleases God.

 

What does it mean to repent? It is a change of mind. It is to feel sorrow for what we have done or not done. It is the desire to have a right relationship with God.

 

God’s love is not limited. He loves all the people in the world. And the eternal life He offers us is everlasting life. It is not only the quantity of life, but the quality of life.

 

 

UNA VISTA DE AMOR DESDE EL CIELO #6

¿Qué hace que el amor de Dios sea superior a cualquier otro tipo de amor? Algunas de las razones son: El amor de Dios no requiere una razón para existir. Nunca falla en ningún momento. El amor de Dios nunca carece de poder. Aporta seguridad al creyente. El amor de Dios es permanente.

             

La Biblia dice que debemos tener un profundo amor por los demás porque cubre muchos pecados (véase 1 Pedro 4:8). La Biblia dice que debemos amar a nuestros vecinos como nos amamos a nosotros mismos. Si lo hacemos, este mundo sería un mejor lugar para vivir. Tal vez eso no sea posible en esta vida, pero siempre debe ser nuestro objetivo. El amor se edifica o se edifica mutuamente (véase Tesalonicenses 5:11).

 

El amor es auto-sacrificio y dar. La Biblia nos dice: "Nadie tiene mayor amor que éste, que uno ponga su vida por sus amigos" (Juan 15:13, KJV). Jesús dio el sacrificio supremo. Murió en una cruz y tres días después se levantó de la tumba. Lo hizo para que nuestros pecados pudieran ser perdonados. Lo hizo para darnos la vida eterna.

 

¿Cómo podemos amar como Dios? No podemos hacerlo solos. El amor de Dios debe morar en nuestras almas. (véase 1 Juan 4:7).

THE BASICS OF PRAYER #3

BLOG #71      The Prayer of Rededication      9/4/2020

 

I was only eight-years old when I became a Christian. It happened in 1952, in a little village church located in Brimson, Missouri. It was one of the greatest experiences of my life. I was so excited about my new-found faith that I felt compelled to do something special for the Lord.

By myself, I took a survey in a housing division called the Fairgrounds. I knocked on the doors of thirty-five houses. I found out there were a total of one hundred fifteen people who lived in that housing division. Twenty-nine of the residents professed to be Christians. I walked back home. I gave my father my report. Then I asked him to give the paper to our pastor.

To the church in Laodicea the Lord said: “… you are neither cold nor hot, I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm - neither cold nor hot- I am about to spit you out of my mouth” (Revelation 3:15-16, NIV).

My dear Christian friends, have you lost your enthusiasm to live for the Lord? If you are lukewarm in your desire to live for the Lord, you need to rededicate your life to the Lord.

David prayed: “Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me”(Psalm 51:10, NVI). 

Merrill F. Unger says it’s “the successive steps of a sinning believer who is restored to full fellowship and service to God.”
