SIETE SIGNOS QUE REVELAN QUIÉN ES JESUS - #1

La historia del primer signo se cuenta en Juan 2:1-11. El escenario era una fiesta de bodas celebrada en un pueblo conocida como Caná de Galilea. En Palestina, las festividades de bodas eran eventos especiales que duraban más de un día y podían durar hasta una semana. El vino era necesario en una fiesta judía. Un rabino explicó la razón por la que. Dijo, "sin vino no hay alegría."
Debido a que no había una manera de purificar el agua lo suficientemente bien, el vino diluido con agua era más seguro para beber. En la fiesta de bodas, la madre de Jesús estaba preocupada de que se les quedan sin vino. Sucedió. Ella pidió la ayuda de Jesús. Jesús instruyó a los siervos a: "Llenen de agua las tinajas. Y los sirvientes las llenaron hasta el borde (Juan 2:7, NVI). Llenaron hasta el borde significaba que no se podía añadir nada más. Jesús convirtió el agua en vino. Sólo Dios puede hacer algo de la nada.
John MacArthur dice que los signos son significativos "muestras de poder que apuntaban más allá de sí mismas a las realidades divinas más profundas que podrían ser percibidas por los ojos de la fe". Juan dice el propósito de su libro: "Pero éstas se han escrito para que ustedes crean que Jesús es el Cristo, el Hijo de Dios, y para que al creer en su nombre tengan vida"(Juan 20:31, NVI).

When Jesus went over the sea of Galilee, a "great crowd of people followed him because they saw the miraculous signs he had performed on the sick" (John 6:2, NIV). When Jesus saw the crowd of five thousand, He had compassion on them. Jesus asked Philip where they could buy bread to feed the people. Philip said, "eight month's wages would not buy enough bread for each one to have a bite!
...Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, spoke up, 'Here is a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish, but how far will they go among so many' " (John 6:7-8, NIV)?
Jesus took the loaves and the fish. He then made enough to feed the 5,000.When they all had enough to eat, (Jesus) said to his disciples, "Gather the pieces that are left over. Let nothing be wasted. So, they gathered them and filled twelve baskets..." (John 6:12-13, NIV). Is there a spiritual lesson to be learned from this scripture passage? Despite the amount of grace God has already shown, He will always have more than enough for anyone.
The purpose of the fourth sign was to reveal Jesus is the Messiah and the Son of God. However, the people rejected Jesus as the Messiah. "...they began to say, surely this is the Prophet who is to come into the world" (John 6:14, NIV). The crowd evidently wanted a Messiah who would meet their physical needs rather than their spiritual needs.

LA PAZ Y LA ALEGRÍA DEL SEÑOR

Debido al coronavirus, el mundo está al límite. La gente está asustada porque temen que puedan tener el virus. Hay muchas cosas que suceden en nuestro mundo que nos dan motivos para estar llenos de ansiedad y miedo. ¿Hay alguna posibilidad de que podamos tener verdadera paz y gozo en nuestros corazones?
El apóstol Pablo habla de un «...paz de Dios, que trasciende todo entendimiento...»
(Filipenses 4:7, NVI). Es una paz que va más allá de lo que somos capaces de entender. Es más que la mera felicidad, es una tranquilidad que nos libera de la preocupación. Una paz interior continua independientemente de las circunstancias adversas que puedan rodearnos.
¿Cómo podemos tener esta paz? Creo que hay al menos cuatro cosas que debemos hacer. Primero, debemos estar en paz con Dios. Segundo, debemos mantener una vida de oración. Tercero, debemos tener una actitud agradecida hacia Dios. Cuarto, debemos confiar en El para hacer lo que sabe que es mejor.
Jesús dice: «Si obedecen mis mandamientos, permanecerán en mi amor... Les he dicho esto para que tengan mi alegría y así su alegría sea completa» (Juan 15:10-11, NVI). «Permanecerán» es ser duradero, «mi amor» es el amor de Cristo, y «su alegría sea completa» es que tu alegría puede ser pleno, no temer o estar insatisfecho.
¡RECUERDA LA CONDICION DEL AMOR DE CRISTO PARA NOSOTROS ES OBEDIENTE A EL!

"Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed and walk" (John 5:8, KJV).
It was a long-established superstition people who lacked physical strength or were helpless came to the pool in Bethesda to be healed. The person had to enter the pool when the water was troubled, and he had to be the first one in the pool.
In John 5:6, Jesus asked the impotent man if he wanted to get well. Jesus knew the man had been impotent for thirty-eight years. After thirty-eight years, had the man lost hope that he could be healed? Had he become content as an impotent man?
The crippled man thought he could not pick up his bed and walk. When Jesus gave him the command, "Rise, take up your bed and walk" the man immediately "took up his bed and walked."
We can learn from this story. Various times the Lord has called me to a task. I made excuses why I could not do it. In my journey through life, I have learned if the Lord assigns me a task, He will help me get it done. The same is true with you. If the Lord assigns you a task, He will help you get it done.

UN MENSAJE DE PASCUA

Jesús vino a esta tierra para morir en una Cruz por nuestros pecados. En el mundo antiguo, la crucifixión estaba reservada para el peor de los criminales; sin embargo, no había cometido un crimen. Murió voluntariamente en la Cruz por ti y por mí. Si Jesús no hubiera surgido, no habría un mensaje de Pascua.
El apóstol Pablo dijo, «Porque ante todo les transmití a ustedes lo que yo mismo recibí: que Cristo murió por nuestros pecados según las Escrituras, que fue sepultado,que resucitó al tercer día según las Escrituras, y que se apareció a Cefas, y luego a los doce. Después se apareció a más de quinientos...
Luego se apareció a Jacobo, más tarde a todos los apóstoles, y por último... se me apareció también a mí» (1 Corintios 15:3-8, NVI).
Las personas que no se mencionan en la Biblia han reconocido que Cristo vivió en esta tierra. Josephus fue un historiador judío del siglo primero. En su libro, «Antiguedades judías», se refirió a «Santiago, el hermano de Jesús, que fue llamado el Cristo». Josephus también escribió: «Los seguidores de Jesús informaron haber visto a Jesús con vida después de Su muerte en la cruz». Thallus fue un historiador griego del siglo primero. Mencionó las tinieblas que se extendieron durante la crucifixión de Jesús. Tacitus fue un historiador romano del siglo segundo. Informó que después de la ejecución de Cristo por Pilato, la perniciosa (dañina) superstición [cristianismo] estalló de nuevo en Judea. Después de que Jesús se levantó de entre los muertos, envió a Su Espíritu Santo a morar en el corazón de Sus creyentes. Sus creyentes ya no tienen que sentirse solos .

Jesus came to this earth to die on a Cross for our sins. In the ancient world, crucifixion was reserved for the worst of criminals; yet, he hadn't committed a crime. He voluntarily died on the Cross for you and me. If Jesus had not arisen, there wouldn't be an Easter message.
The Apostle Paul said, "For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve. After that, he appeared to more than five hundred... The he appeared to James, then to all the apostles, And... he appeared to me also... (1 Corinthians 15:3-8, NIV).
People who are not mentioned in the Bible have acknowledged Christ lived on this earth. Josephus was a first century Jewish historian. In his book, "Jewish Antiquities," he referred to "James the brother of Jesus who was called the Christ." Josephus also wrote "Jesus' followers reported seeing Jesus alive after His death on the cross." Thallus was a first-century Greek historian. He mentioned the darkness that spread during Jesus' crucifixion. Tacitus was a second-century Roman historian. He reported that following Pilate's execution of Christ, the pernicious (harmful) superstition [Christianity] broke out afresh in Judea. (Read the book "JESUS ON TRIAL," by David Limbaugh, pages 239-241).
After Jesus arose from the dead, He sent His Holy Spirit to dwell within the hearts of His believers. No longer do His believers have to feel alone.

FRENTE A LO DESCONOCIDO

El coronavirus ha puesto a muchas personas al límite. En todo el mundo, miles han muerto. Muchos eventos que atraen a grandes multitudes han sido cancelados o pospuestos. Las universidades han cerrado. Los estudiantes de college están tomando sus clases en línea. Nadie sabe cuándo estará bajo control la propagación del virus corona. Acabo de oír en la televisión que la propagación del coronavirus va a empeorar antes de que mejore.
Algunos pueden estar diciendo, «si Dios realmente me ama, podría deshacerse del virus corona». La Biblia no dice que si pongo mi fe y confianza en Jesús todos mis problemas serán lavados. En cambio, Jesús dijo: «óirás de guerras y rumores de guerras..."» (Mateo 24:6, NVI). No es realista pensar que todas las cosas serán perfectas en este mundo. ¿Correcto? ¡Así son las cosas!
Sin embargo, hay esperanza. Cuando vengan las tormentas de la vida, el Señor ha prometido que siempre estará conmigo. Su Espíritu Santo mora dentro de mí, y Su Espíritu está trabajando en mí siete días a la semana, veinticuatro horas al día. La próxima semana, compartiré con ustedes algunas cosas que me ayudan cuando circunstancias desfavorables. Jesús dijo...«siempre estoy con ustedes, hasta el fin de la era» (Mateo 28:20, NVI).

The story about the second sign or miracle is found in John 4:46-54. It's a story about a nobleman.
In the Greek language a nobleman means a "royal official." John MacArthur says, he most likely was "someone officially attached to the service of King Herod Antipas, Tetrarch of Galilee."
The royal official came to Jesus because his son lay sick at Capernaum and he was near death. The royal official was desperate. He begged Jesus repeatedly to go with him to heal his son. It's probable the royal official wanted to see Jesus because of His reputation as a miracle worker. Jesus said: "You may go. Your son will live (John 4:50, NIV). "You may go" was a command with the promise of life. The royal official took Jesus at His word. On the way home he met his servants. They told him his son's fever was gone. The royal official asked his servants what time his son got better. When the royal official found out his son was made well at the same time Jesus told him his son shall live, his faith was confirmed.
Faith built on signs and wonders is not biblical faith. The true definition of faith includes surrendering to the will of God. Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you" (Matthew 17:20, NIV). With Him all things are possible!
