OF FAITH #6

“By faith
Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared
an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and
became heir of the righteousness which is by faith” (Hebrews 11:7, KJV)
When God calls us to do something, there
are three different ways we can react:
1.
We may refuse to listen to His voice.
2.
We may be like Jonah who listened to His voice. However, he refused to obey.
3.
We may be like Noah who listened to His voice and obeyed.
When the ark was built nobody had ever seen
a flood. Some people thought Noah was wasting his time building an ark. Some people
thought he was crazy. Some people ridiculed him. Nevertheless, Noah was
faithful to God’s calling. His faith in God influenced his family, and they
were saved.
The Lord God may be calling you to do
something that seems ridiculous to others. You may refuse to listen to His
voice. You may listen to His voice and refuse to obey Him, or you can listen to
His voice and be obedient to Him. The decision you make will have negative or
positive consequences on your life. It will also have a negative or positive influence
on others.
