 A man with leprosy came to Jesus. The man asked Jesus to make him clean. I can understand why he did. Leprosy is a horrifying sight. Fingers and toes are missing. Skin ulcers are on the body. The Rabbis believed leprosy was incurable.

 

Leprosy was a visible symbol of sin (see Leviticus 14). There is another kind of leprosy and it is spiritual in nature. The Bible says, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23, NIV). Sinned in this verse means trespassed, to go beyond the limits of what God says is right or moral, to do wrong. Glory in this verse means to give dignity or honor to God.

 

GOOD NEWS! The leper mentioned in Matthew 8 had no doubt that Christ had the power to make him clean him and Christ did. He removed the spots and made him clean.

 

John MacArthur said “Spiritual death is the paycheck for every person’s slavery to sin. Eternal life is a free gift God gives His undeserving sinners, who believe in His Son.”

 

When God forgives us of our sins, He removes the spiritual spots and makes us spiritually clean. He forgets our sin. It is kind of like He takes our sins and throws them in the deepest part of the ocean.

BLOG #74      I Tesalonicenses 5:16-18      1/15/2020

 

Regocíjate cada vez más.

            Todos los días debemos tener corazones alegres. Cuando servimos al Señor, debemos

             tener actitudes alegres (véase Filipenses 2:17).  

 

Oren sin cesar.

            Podemos continuar en un espíritu de oración. Podemos elevar nuestros pensamientos al

            Señor cuando están en el trabajo, en casa, o dondequiera que estemos. Cuando

            elevamos nuestros pensamientos a la Señor, somos más conscientes de la presencia de

            Dios. 

 

En todo dar gracias.

            En 1 Tesalonicenses 5:18 la palabra, gracias viene de la palabra que significa ser

            agradecido o para expresar gratitud. Salvo tragedia o desgracia, debemos dar gracias en

            todas las circunstancias, ya sean buenas o malas. Si no puede estar agradecido, podría

            ayudar si miras las misericordias pasadas que Dios te ha dado. La Biblia dice dar gracias

            es el voluntad de Dios. 

 

¡Creo que si continúan en un espíritu de oración encontrarán el secreto de la alegría continua!

 

 

BLOG #77            HOPE UNEXPECTED            1/15/2020

Part Two

 

Ruth said to Naomi, “Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God"  (Ruth 1:16, NIV).

 

When Naomi returned from Moab to Bethlehem in Judah, she was very depressed and bitter. Naomi blamed God for her problems. Her bitterness caused her to be wrapped up in herself. She no more wanted to be called Naomi (which means Pleasant). She wanted to be called Mara (which means Bitter).

 

Naomi’s bitterness caused her to lose hope. She could not see any possibility that her life could get better. She did not know there was someone with her who would change her life. That person was Ruth, her daughter-in-law. Through Ruth, God restored in Naomi’s life joy and hope

 

If you have a daily personal living relationship with Jesus Christ, there is always hope. If you have confessed your sins before God. If you have invited Jesus Christ into your life as Savior and Lord, His Holy Spirit will come to live in you. There are no exemptions. Regardless of what may have happened in your past His salvation is for you.

 

LOS BASICOS DE LA ORACIÓN #5

BLOG #73         EN EL NOMBRE DE JESÚS         10/9/2020

       

«“Él les dijo: -Cuando oren, digan: Padre, santificado sea tu nombre. Venga tu reino. Danos cada día nuestro pan cotidiano. Perdónanos nuestros pecados, porque también nosotros perdonamos a todos los que nos ofenden» (Lucas 11: 2-4, NVI).

 

No podemos esperar que Dios honre nuestras oraciones si:

            1.Nuestras oraciones son egocéntizas.

            2. No lo estamos buscando.

            3. No perdonamos a los que pecan contra nosotros.

 

Podemos esperar que Dios honre nuestras oraciones si:

            1. Amamos a Dios y lo buscamos (véase Proverbios 8:17).

            2. Tenemos una relación correcta con El.

            2. Estamos dispuestos a someternos a Su plan y propósito.

 

En Getsemaní, las Escrituras dicen, “… él (Jesús) se postró sobre su rostros y oró: «Padre mío,

si es posible, no me hagas beber este trago amargo. Pero no sea lo que lo quiero, sino lo que quieres tú.» (Mateo 26:39, NVI) En el nombre de Jesús significa "Tu (Dios)  se hará. Requiere fe para hacer eso. La pregunta es, ¿tenemos la fe para permitir que se haga la voluntad de Dios?

Part One

 

Because of a famine in the land, Elimelech, his wife Naomi, and their two sons left Bethlehem in Judah and moved to Moab. Sometime after the family moved to Moab Elimelech died (see Ruth 1:3). The sons, Mahlon and Kilion, married Moabite women. After Mahlon and KIlion had lived in Moab for about ten years they died (see Ruth 1:5). All of the male members of Naomi’s family were gone. Naomi and her two daughters-in-law, Ruth and Orpha, were the only ones left.

 

In ancient oriental society there was a stigma attached to unmarried women and childless wives. When the women in Bethlehem who already knew Naomi saw her, they were shocked!   Can this be Naomi? They could see she had changed but not for the better. Some of the people wondered if Naomi had forsaken the Lord. Could it be she became a worshiper of the god of the Moabites?

 

Naomi was a very depressed woman. She blamed God for her problems. She said to the women in Bethlehem do “not call me Naomi…call me Mara.” The name Naomi means sweetness of pleasantness. The name Mara means bitter.” Evidently, Naomi had lost all hope her life could get better. But was that really the truth? Next week, you will find out what is the rest of the story.

BLOG #72        ORACIÓN DE ARREPENTIMIENTO         10/1/2020

 

«Porque tanto amó Dios al mundo, que dio a su Hijo unigénito,

para que todo el que cree en él no se pierda, sino que tenga vida eterna». (Juan 3:16, NVI)

               

«De veras te aseguro que quien no nazca de nuevo no puede ver el reino de Dios -dijo Jesús».     (Juan 3:3, NVI) El reino de Dios es el reinado de Dios. El reinado de Dios que reinará supremo.

«Yo te aseguro que quien no nazca de agua y del Espíritu, no puede entrar en el reino de Dios -respondió Jesús». (Juan 3:5). El nacimiento del agua debe limpiarse (ver Salmos 51:10). Nacido del Espíritu debe renacer espiritualmente. En Juan 3:16 la palabra creer significa  comprometerse con EI. Implica confiar nuestro bienestar espiritual a Dios.

 

¿Por qué tenemos que arrepentirnos? Nosotros, que nunca hemos dedicado nuestra vida a Cristo, necesitamos renacer espiritualmente. Porque nosotros, que profesamos cristianos, debemos arrepentirnos si no estamos viviendo una vida que agrada a Dios. ¿Qué significa arrepentirse? Es un cambio de opinión. Es sentir pesar por lo que hemos hecho o no hemos hecho. Es el deseo de tener una relación correcta con Dios. El amor de Dios no es limitado. Ama a toda la gente del mundo. Y la vida eterna que nos ofrece es vida eterna. No es sólo la cantidad de vida, sino la calidad de vida.

 

THE BASICS OF PRAYER #7

BLOG #75      Intercessory Prayer      10/1/2020

 

“And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment: That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ; Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God” (Philippians 1:9-11, KJV).

 

The Apostle Paul was a prisoner in Rome when he wrote the letter for the church in Philippi.Paul was faced with a difficult situation, but his situation did not keep him from rejoicing.

 

The Apostle Paul encouraged the Philippians to have hearts filled with love. To have the love that goes with knowledge. A knowledge which is deeply rooted in the truths that are found in the Bible. He encouraged them to live Christian lives that were worth imitating (see 1 Peter 1:22).  To live with a greater recognition and understanding of what is right and what is wrong.

 

John MacArthur says “the fruits of righteousness” is better translated as the fruit righteousness produces (see James 3:17-18). The righteousness which is of God by faith (see Philippians 3:9).

Paul encourages the Philippians to have genuine faith. To live their Christian lives without causing themselves or others to stumble (see Ephesians 2:10).
