A VIEW OF LOVE FROM HEAVEN #6

What makes the love of God superior to any other kind of love? Some of the reasons are: The love of God does not require a reason to exist. It never at any point in time fails. The love of God never lacks power. It brings security to the believer. The love of God is permanent.

             

The Bible says we are to have a deep love for others because it covers many sins (see 1 Peter 4:8). The Bible says we are to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. If we do that this world would be a better place to live. Maybe that is not possible in this life, but it should always be our objective. Love edifies or builds-ups each other (see I Thessalonians 5:11).  

 

Love is self-sacrificing and giving. The Bible tells us, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:13, KJV). Jesus gave the supreme sacrifice. He died on a Cross and three days later He arose from the grave. He did it so our sins could be forgiven. He did it to give us eternal life.

 

How can we love like God? We cannot do it by ourselves. The love of God must dwell in our souls. (see 1 John 4:7).
